Ekaterina Frolova

Ekaterina Frolova is born in Saint Petersburg and she studied with Antonina Kazarina at the conservatory and with Michael Frischenschlager at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna as well as with Pavel Vernikov at the Vienna Conservatory.

Master classes with Zakhar Bron, Wolfgang Marschner, Pavel Vernikov, and Igor Oistrakh. She awarded numerous prizes among at the International Louis Spohr Competition for Young Violinists in Weimar (1998), the Premium Yuri Temirkanov in Saint Petersburg (1999), the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow (2002), the Louis Spohr Violin Competition in Freiburg im Breisgau (2003), and the Fritz Kreisler Competition in Vienna (2010) as well as the Concorso Internazionale Valsesia Musica in Italy (2011).

She has performed with orchestras in China, Russia, Germany, Finland, Slovenia, and Switzerland and worked with such conductors as Yuri Temirkanov. She is invited to perform at the Usedom Music Festival, the Kissinger Summer, the Gergiev Festival in Rotterdam, and the International Orpheum Music Festival for the Advancement of Young Soloists held in Zurich. Ekaterina Frolova plays an instrument made by Nicola Gagliano in 1755.

Vesselin Stanev

The pianist Vesselin Stanev, born in Varna (Bulgaria), Studied at the Academy of Music in Sofia, with Dmitri Bashkirov at The Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow, with Alexis Weissenberg and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris. Awarded prizes at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Competition and at the Concours Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibaud.

Appearances in major European concert halls - the Wigmore Hall in London, the Alte Oper Frankfurt, the Leipzig Gewandhaus or the Salle Gaveau in Paris, and at the Vienna Summer festival « Klangbogen ».

Concert tours to Scandinavia, Eastern and South Eastern Europe, Russia and Japan. Has worked together with conductors like Armin Jordan, Alexander Lazarev, Hubert Soudant. Cd recordings for Sony Classical.
