This one day conference is organised around the theme of Leadership and Organisational practices to encourage better sustainability practices within organisations.  Sustainability, sometimes referred to as Corporate Social Responsibility, takes in not only the way in which an organisation deals with external stakeholders, but also the way in which it enhances the experience of its own employees in the workplace.

9.00 Welcome Prof. Darren Hanson: NEOMA Business School, Professor of Leadership, Global Partnerships Director and conference convenor welcomes attendees to the inaugural NEOMA Leadership Sustainability Conference.

9.15 - Conference opening address by Frank Bostyn, Dean of NEOMA

9.30 - The Workplace of the Future, the implications for Sustainability – Prof Kirpal SinghSingapore Management University

10.45The Changing Landscape. Stephanie Draper – Deputy CEO of Forum for the Future How sustainable businesses are dramatically changing the work environment of the future, and the skills development areas needed.

1.30 - 2.30 - Creating Learning Partnership for Sustainability Dr. Berangere Magarinos-Ruchat – Vice President Sustainability Partnership:  Firmenich.

2.30 - 3.30 - How Shell integrated sustainable development through learning.  Elfrida Hamilton-Russell- Shell: UK Social Performance Manager.  Head of social performance programs for Shell UK & Ireland.  Elfrida will present the Sustainable Development Learning portfolio implementation in Shell and describe the critical components needed to spark and embed a change in an organisation in their sustainability journey, including key challenges, and successes in approach.


3.30 - 3.45 - Break


3.45 - 4.45 - The role of HR in creating cultures of sustainability. Dr Alexanda Stubbings, Director: Talik &Co. In this interactive session, Alexandra will explore how HR and OD can, through strategic engagement activities, powerfully contribute to building organisational cultures that engender human and ecological flourishing. 

4.45 - 5.45 - Finding of Global Sustainability Leadership Benchmarking Study. Prof. Darren Hanson NEOMA BS.  The first presentation of the results of a worldwide sustainability leadership research study, completed by NEOMA in 2016, will be delivered.  Practical implication for HR professionals and organisational leadership will be workshopped.
